Training stories

Back in 2003 or so, at the end of that year, somebody talked to me about something called jiujitsu. I had practiced before the japanese jiujitsu, and I knew it was all about self defense. I went to train what was called “brazilian” jiujitsu around the beginning of 2004, and was amazed by the useless I felt even with a high degree in karate and being in really good shape.
The first guys in Barcelona training that new sport were a small group, and a lot of guys who are now on op of the game in my country begun in that gym I begun training at, it was called Anaconda.
Between those guys there was this dude called Oriol, he was good and experienced and after some time with the team decided to leave and start a personal quest to sharpen his skills. Thats all I knew of him.
Fast forward around 2 years, or so, and I meet him in the middle of nowhere in the US in an airport, and he told me he was going to fight somewhere. Fast forward to 2009 and I see him at a new disco I went to check as security. Super random… I know.
Then, fast forward to now, and he is one of these world travellers looking for the life pleasures that bring doing what you like and love.
Currently in Australia, Oriol is a great MMA fighter who is putting together this campaign on Facebook to get some votes so he can train in Thailand at one of the best muay thai gyms around.
I promised him I would try to help, he is not one of those rich kids who decide to fight to be famous. He is all about passion.
Vote for him and help a spaniard out!
