I decided to make this post to help everyone understand the nature of the Skulls production system and how, uniqueness has its points of differentiation vs other hat makers who make trillions of hats who look the very same.
SKULLS hats are handmade in the United States, with yards of fabric sourced from very different sources, sometimes vintage, sometimes hard to get, sometimes special, sometimes from other countries… But always, is handmade. And some times, quantities go low based on production impact on the collection, budget, and a trillion plus one issues I don´t need to bore you with.
The “Mary” hat is a good example of the nature of a special project: Handmade hats with a rich quality fabric that creates a limited number of hats. Based on the special nature of the hat, every hat is different, the cutting of the fabric is made to use the fabric, and ensure a unique look to every hat.
Personally, thats exactly what I want to deliver to you: A rich, nice, special product. It is not limited or more expensive than the rest “just because”, or because somebody from a band you dont like, is wearing it. It´s just, special, on nature, and all of you who have experience on the streetwear world, and specially apparel production, will understand what I mean.
